School Police Officer Struck By Car While Directing Traffic Near Cherry Hill HS East

A Cherry Hill High School East campus police officer was hit by a car while directing traffic on Friday, Jan. 12, a school district spokeswoman said.

The crash occurred at about 7:15 a.m. in the 1700 block of Kresson Road, 6abc reported. A photo from the scene shows the front windshield of a Hyundai sedan heavily damaged. 

The resource officer was apparently seriously injured, 6abc says.

The officer was transported to the hospital by ambulance, said Barbara Wilson, a spokeswoman for Cherry Hill Public Schools.

Wilson said other details would have to come from Cherry Hill police who were not immediately available for comment.
